Cookie Policy

1. The short version

This website sets no cookies of its own. No advertising cookies, no analytics cookies, no fingerprinting. One non-cookie value is stored in your browser (to remember that you dismissed our notice banner), and one page embeds a third-party widget that may set its own cookies. The complete inventory is below — it is short, and we intend to keep it that way.

2. What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies are small files a website stores on your device to remember information between visits. Similar technologies include local storage (a browser feature that stores values on your device without sending them to any server) and embedded content (widgets from other companies that can set their own, “third-party” cookies). EU ePrivacy rules require consent for any storage that is not strictly necessary to provide a service you asked for.

Substack may set cookies within that frame for sign-up and its own service operation, governed by Substack's privacy notice. That is the entire list. For completeness: Vercel Web Analytics, our visitor measurement tool, is deliberately cookie-free — it sets nothing on your device and stores no persistent identifiers. The contact form's spam protection (a honeypot field) also uses no cookies.

4. Why this site shows no cookie consent banner

Consent banners are required when a site sets cookies or storage that is not strictly necessary — typically analytics or advertising. This site sets none: the single local-storage value above is strictly necessary to honour your dismissal of the notice banner, and is therefore exempt from the consent requirement under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive. The banner you may see at the bottom of the page is purely informational — it tells you about our cookie-free analytics; it is not a consent gate, because there is nothing requiring consent.

The one nuance is the Substack widget on the newsletter page, which loads with the page and may set its own cookies. We disclose it here and in the privacy notice, and we keep it confined to that single page.

5. Third-party services you choose to visit

Booking a call takes you to our scheduling page on Cal.eu (Cal.com's EU-hosted service), and links to LinkedIn or Substack take you to those platforms. Once you are on another company's site, their cookie policies apply — this policy covers abhishekbansiwal.com only.

6. How to control cookies and storage

You can clear local storage and cookies, or block them entirely, in your browser's privacy settings (usually under “Site data” or “Cookies and site permissions”). Blocking storage for this site costs you nothing except the notice banner reappearing. If you block third-party cookies, the Substack widget may not function — the newsletter remains available directly on Substack.

7. Changes and contact

If we ever add a cookie or similar technology, this inventory will be updated before it ships, and material changes will be reflected in the date at the top. Questions about this policy: abhishek.adv@yahoo.com. See also our Privacy Notice.
